Multi tracks recorder
The Zoom R12 is for musicians who want to record, arrange and finalize their tracks without a computer. Just place it on a table, plug in your sources, and start creating. Its compact size and touchscreen let you work fast, anywhere. It's an excellent choice if you're looking for a full-featured, mobile home studio on a budget.
Features
Record and mix without a computer
The Zoom R12 lets you capture your ideas immediately, with no complex interface or software to configure. You record, edit and mix directly in the device. Ideal for working on a demo at home, in rehearsal or on the road, without depending on a computer.
Touchscreen: fast, intuitive editing
Its color LCD touchscreen simplifies everything. You can cut, copy, loop and organize your tracks with the touch of a fingertip. As a result, you spend less time fiddling with menus, and can concentrate on what's really important: the music. Perfect if you like to work fast and clean.
Two combo inputs for microphones and instruments
Two XLR/Jack inputs let you connect a microphone, guitar, bass or keyboard. Switchable +48 V phantom power allows you to use condenser mics, and the Hi-Z input on channel 1 makes it easy to record a guitar or bass directly without the need for an additional box.
8 audio tracks for building real songs
With its 8 playback tracks, the R12 gives you enough room to stack guitars, vocals, keyboards and backing vocals, then balance the whole. Each track features 3-band EQ and panning, so you can clean up your mix, create space and get a more coherent sound right from the demo.
Integrated effects to finalize your sound
The R12 features a built-in effects section with reverb, chorus and delay, as well as guitar effects compatible with Zoom Guitar Lab. So you can enrich your takes without external processing, whether you're looking to add depth to a vocal or find a guitar sound that's ready to record.
Built-in rhythms and sample import
The 150 built-in drum patterns help you compose with an immediately usable rhythmic base. You can then add your own samples via microSD card or USB key. Practical for building a complete song, even without a drummer or software.
Internal synth and MIDI control
The built-in FM synthesizer features 18 sounds, editable directly on-screen. You can also play these instruments from a MIDI keyboard connected via USB-C. A simple solution for adding textures, basses or leads without additional hardware.
Autonomy and flexible power supply
The R12 runs for up to 5 hours on 4 AA batteries, making it truly mobile. You can also power it from the mains (AD-17 adapter) or via USB, with a computer or external battery. Ideal if you're performing in places where an outlet isn't always available.
Sequence playback for rehearsals and live performances
You can create a playlist of your projects and trigger them easily. Very useful for rehearsing with backing tracks, linking live tracks or presenting a demo. You keep your sessions organized and ready to play, without complicated handling.
