Effects processor
The Phoenix Audio Scion is a 16x6 analog summing mixer designed for demanding hybrid studios. It's aimed at sound engineers and producers who want the depth and musicality of analog in their digital mixes. More than just a summing unit, it brings control, width and character. A top-of-the-range choice to give your productions a truly professional dimension.
Features
16-channel analog summing
Mix your tracks outside the DAW for greater depth and separation. The result is an enhanced, more coherent sound. Ideal for improving a digital mix that's sometimes too flat.
Fast, precise Class A circuits
Each channel is based on a discrete, transformerless input circuit. You retain high fidelity and excellent transient response. The sound remains detailed and natural.
Drive Technology for added character
You can saturate each channel individually. This allows you to add warmth and harmonics as required. Perfect for bringing digital tracks to life.
Multiple outputs with variable sound signature
Three separate stereo buses are available. Clean mode delivers transparent sound, Color mode adds a rich analog signature, and Mix lets you mix the two. You can easily adapt the final sound.
Phoenix signature output transformers
DB694 transformers add depth and character. You get a denser sound, inspired by vintage analog consoles.
Precise analog panning
Each channel has its own notched panning. You place your elements precisely in the stereo image. The result is wider and more stable than a purely software mix.
Stereo width control
Easily adjust the aperture of your mix. Widen or narrow the image according to musical style. Useful for balancing a dense mix or creating space.
Bus insertion for external processing
You can integrate hardware compressors or equalizers directly on the bus. This allows you to add additional analog processing to your final mix.
Flexible auxiliary output
An independent output for monitoring or alternative routing. You can adapt your workflow to suit your studio needs.
Full signal compatibility
The Scion accepts lossless balanced and unbalanced signals. You can easily integrate it into any setup, digital or analog.
