Overdrive, distortion & fuzz effect pedal
The new pedal from Californian firm Beetronics features a 100% analog circuit. The pedal features a fuzz circuit and a nine-interval harmonizer.
The controls, like the pedal's visuals, are named in a rather peculiar way. The "worker" control adjusts the fuzz input level, and thus directly adjusts the fuzz saturation level. The 9-position "species" selector lets you choose one of the 9 available intervals. The "queen" and "drone" pots control the level of the harmonies, each pot controlling an octave. But Swarm doesn't stop there: the pedal features two knobs, "flight" and "sting", which adjust the modulation effect applied to the harmonies. "Sting" adjusts the speed at which harmonies follow the direct signal. The "flight" setting adjusts the depth of modulation.
Finally, a master volume on the right-hand side of the pedal adjusts the overall volume of the effect.
