The PRS Horsemeat transparent overdrive is a circuit designed from the ground up to enhance guitar sound without coloring it. Thanks to germanium diodes, Horsemeat delivers a deep sound without being nasal or too high-pitched, with great harmonic richness by amplifying low and high frequencies, while offering enhanced dynamics. Depending on the configuration, Horsemeat can be used as a clean boost, directly as an overdrive, or even improve the distortion of an amp by slightly tightening the amp's preamp section. In essence, and in the words of Paul Reed Smith, the Horsemeat sounds like a good amp.
