Folk guitar

The CORT GA-MY Bevel is an electro-acoustic Grand Auditorium-style steel-string acoustic guitar with a solid Sitka Spruce top, laminated Myrtlewood body and Ovangkol fingerboard. L.R.Baggs® EAS-VTC preamp.

Myrtlewood combines the best characteristics of Rosewood, Mahogany and Maple, with rich bass, warm, clear midrange and glossy highs. Ovangkol is an African relative of Rosewood, whose essential properties it shares, with a significantly more generous midrange and more prominent highs, though less prominent than those of Maple.

Elle est aussi splendide en vrai que sur le catalogue Cort et les performances le sont tout autant.
Très belles sonorités claires et dynamiques avec beaucoup de sutain.(Les médiums et aigus sont très présent)
Le repose coude biseauté des plus élégants est bien utile pour le grand format du corps.
(Dimension corps qui compense au mieux la perte de volume du pan coupé)
Le dos est superbe par le dessin unique du Myrtle ainsi que le bombé (plutôt rare sur une folk).
On est très proche des modèles de la série GOLD (les touches en ébène ou autres mécaniques Grover ouvertes en moins)
Le LR baggs VTC des plus discret est parfait pour ne pas altérer la ligne des élises.
Seul petit reproche, les cordes un peu haute qui nécessite un réglage de sillet (que j’ai fait de suite) pour gagner en confort de jeu.
Je la trouve très adaptée pour le fingerstyle ou picking.
Très bon rapport qualité prix (livrée impeccable en 24h par Stars Music).
Cort fait vraiment de très belles guitares à des prix abordables.
