Overdrive, distortion & fuzz effect pedal
There's one particular fuzz pedal that found its way to LCD Soundsystem's James Murphy and eventually became a staple with them. It was the bass fuzz pedal used in several LCD recordings, and it toured the world with them. It's been abused and then patched up with scotch tape. It looks like it's not working, but it's still there. She's old and fragile but still has a big sound. Too good to retire, but too worn out to go on forever. That's where EarthQuaker Devices comes in. Their mission was to reproduce exactly the sound of this pedal in a reliable format capable of withstanding the demands of the modern world. They took up the challenge and created the Chelsea.
