Earthquaker devices Sunn O))) Halflife (Distortion, Octave-Up, Boost)

Designed for Stoner, Doom, Sludge and Noise guitarists and bassists looking for a massive sound and exacerbated sustain, the EARTHQUAKER DEVICES Sunn O))) pedal Halflife combines three effects purposely positioned in the circuit as follows: Octave-Up, Distortion, Boost upstream.
This structure enables the octave to react optimally to the playing dynamics of the musician and his instrument.

Halflife is therefore not a transparent, clean or linear effect, with massive midrange-laden saturation and a natural compression reminiscent of a tube amp pushed to its limits. But its aggressiveness doesn't prevent it from retaining maximum attack. The analog Octave-up effect opens the door to richer, more scathing sonorities, and the boost potentially adds thickness, amplitude and volume.

In addition to the traditional controls for saturation gain and volume, octave volume and depth, you'll find a treble cut filter and a three-position Clip selector offering distinct types of distortion (OpAmp / Asymmetrical / Symmetrical).
