Eastman E10SS - antique classic varnish

The EASTMAN E10SS Thermo-Cure is a remarkable Dreadnought-style steel-string acoustic guitar in the tradition of the legendary Gibson© J-45© Round-Shoulder (short scale 24.75"). It features immaculate all-solid-wood construction: Adirondack spruce top, mahogany body, mahogany neck, Ebony fingerboard. The quality of the woods used and the way it's made make it worthy of excellent vintages.

Abundant in the 1930s, when it was used extensively for the soundboards of Martin guitars,"Red Spruce" or "Adirondack" spruce (Picea Rubens) enjoys enormous popularity. More dense than common spruce, Adirondack spruce is exceptionally responsive. The soundboard has benefited from the "Thermo-Cure" treatment. The essences have been subjected to accelerated drying through exposure to high temperatures. The result is greater stability and better resonance.
