The EASTMAN L-OOSS-QS is a remarkable steel-string acoustic guitar with a compact size (OO, short scale 24.75") and immaculate all-solid-wood construction: Adirondack spruce top, Sapele quilted AA back and sides, mahogany neck, Ebony fingerboard. The quality of the woods and the impeccable assembly are on a par with American benchmarks.

Abundant in the 1930s, when it was used extensively for the soundboards of Martin guitars,"Red Spruce" or "Adirondack" Spruce (Picea Rubens) enjoys enormous popularity. Denser than common Spruce, Adirondack Spruce is exceptionally responsive. Sapele is a perfect substitute for mahogany, both in appearance and sound, although it is considerably more crystalline due to its greater rigidity.
