Epiphone IBG Explorer 80s - classic white

The EPIPHONE Inspired By Gibson Explorer 80s EMG solid body electric guitar (EIEX8CWNH1) reproduces, at a very affordable price, the sound of the mythical original Gibson Explorer in its historic 1980s period. Originally released from Gibson's workshops in 1958, its design was not immediately successful, and few examples were produced for the first batch (hence their incredible value on the vintage market). It wasn't until a decade or so later that it was adopted by renowned musicians, including rockers such as The Edge, Billy Gibbon and, of course, James Hetfield. The latter helped the Explorer move into the top division and become a favorite among Hard-Rock / Metal guitarists.
It features a duo of EMG 60 (neck) and 81 (bridge) active pickups. Their combination with Gibson's typical lutherie (mahogany body and set neck) was and remains the winning combo for fans of raging, dynamic tones.
