The Fender Telecaster is unquestionably one of the most influential and revered of all musical instruments. It literally changed the course of modern music and set an absolute standard, becoming the matrix of the solid body electric guitar. The Fender Precision Bass, the first electric bass, is equally referential, notably considered by the great Quincy Jones as the technological advance that most decisively changed the music industry.
To celebrate the pivotal year of 1951 and the twenty-fifth anniversary of these two legendary instruments, Fender is offering a very special collection of limited-edition Telecaster and Precision Bass models for 2026. Offered in a magnificent Liquid Gold finish, the FENDER 75th Anniversary American Ultra II Telecaster solid body electric guitar (0177011728) represents the nec plus ultra of Fender models outside Custom Shop production. It's a hybrid vintage/modern instrument, both in the Fender tradition and capable of meeting the demands of professional musicians. The body is made of premium-grade Alder, the fingerboard of Ebony, set with 22 medium-jumbo frets, and the neck is particularly comfortable, with a hybrid Modern D gauge, chamfered fret edges, a 10/14" mixed radius and a sculpted heel for easy access to high notes.
The pickup set consists of a Fastlane Rail Humbucker stack (single-coil format) in bridge position and a 75th Anniversary Ultra Noiseless single-coil combined with S-1 circuitry, offering a vast collection of typically Fender or more contemporary tones, what's more with no background noise.
