Solid body electric bass
To celebrate the pivotal year of 1951 and the twenty-fifth anniversary of two legendary instruments, the Telecaster and the Precision Bass, Fender is offering a very special limited-edition collection of several versions of each for 2026. The Fender Telecaster is undoubtedly one of the most influential and revered musical instruments. It literally changed the course of modern music and set an absolute standard, becoming the matrix of the solid body electric guitar. The Fender Precision Bass, the first electric bass, is equally referential, notably considered by the great Quincy Jones as the technological breakthrough that most decisively changed the music industry.
The FENDER 75th Anniversary American Vintage II 1951 Precision Bass solidbody electric bass (0177042850) offers a very serious and attractive alternative to the Time Machine reissues from the Fender Custom Shop. Based on the original vintage model, the 75th Anniversary American Vintage II 1951 Precision Bass produces incredibly authentic tones, and confers emotions certainly similar to those of fifties musicians.
Introduced in the early '80s, the American Vintage series marks Fender's return to the forefront as the CBS reign comes to an end. Fender completely rethought the concept of vintage reissues, restoring the original tools, developing new pickups, or reworking the original colors.
