Limited Edition 2024 with Spruce body, Rosewood fingerboard and Satin Honey Burst color. The FENDER FSR American Performer Timber Stratocaster solid body electric guitar (0171030742) is a vintage/modern model between Mexican and Standard USA productions. It combines traditional features (bolt-on neck in Maple, Rosewood fingerboard, 25.5" scale) with more contemporary ones (22 frets, 9.5" radius). Spruce is the unusual material used in the construction of solid body electric guitars (more common on hollow bodies), with a hybrid character between Ash, Alder, Mahogany and Maple. Fender Yosemite pickups were developed for the occasion, particularly rich and expressive with a consistent output level. What's more, a push/pull switch allows the bridge pickup to be added at any position of the selector, and the circuit features the Greasebucket tone system (only on the bridge pickup). The Greasebucket maintains a good bass/treble balance when the instrument's volume is turned down.
