The solid body electric guitar FENDER Custom Shop 1955 Telecaster Journeyman Relic #CZ560649 (9236080874) features a selected two-piece Ash body ("sort for lightweight"), a rift-sawn Maple neck, a Maple fingerboard with 11/56 Soft V profile (radius 9.5" radius), hand-wound Hand-Wound '55/56 Tele pickups, and a nitrocellulose finish for an authentic vintage look and feel. Delivered in a Fender Custom Shop hardshell case with certificate of authenticity. Fender Telecasters and Stratocasters are indispensable because they are an integral part of the history of amplified music, having amply contributed to its expansion and democratization.
The ideal would be to be the proud owner of an original example from the 50s or 60s, but the price of vintage instruments is so high that it's difficult for anyone to gain access to them.

Concerning the Relic finish (for the models concerned): the dealers present at NAMM 1995 were totally blown away by the level of realism of the first two Relic models Fender presented to them that year; most mistook them for genuine Fender originals (they were a '51 Nocaster and a '56 Mary Kaye Stratocaster).
