Based on a 1956 Stratocaster "Base Model", the FENDER Custom Shop Tomatillo Special Stratocaster Journeyman Relic #CZ571194 (9236080858) solidbody electric guitar features a two-piece "sort for lightweight" Alder body, quarter-sawn Maple neck (11/56 Off Center V profile), quarter-sawn Maple fingerboard (narrow-tall frets, hybrid radius 7.25/9.5"), and a set of hand-wound pickups Tomatillo Alnico 2 (the central pickup with reversed polarity to limit background noise) and Poblano in bridge position (AlNiCo 5 magnets). The circuit is of the "Fat 50 1/2 Blender" type: the second tone potentiometer enables the neck and bridge pickups to be mixed at will, offering unprecedented sonorities.
