The Fender California Vintage Malibu is an easy-to-access concert-style model featuring an innovative Performance-X™ bracing. This lightweight model features a solid Sitka spruce top and solid ovangkol back and sides. You'll have no trouble resonating its smooth, precise tone, and be surprised by its exceptional balance and tonal nuances. A "Modern V" profile has been chosen for the ergonomics of the okoumé neck, and its short 25" (635 mm) scale produces a particularly warm sound. Its backward-sloping neck headstock, fitted with six tuning machines in a row, is topped with a maple veneer that gives it an original look imbued with the DNA of Fender electric guitars. You'll also notice the ovangkol fingerboard with purfling and Block inlays in perloid for retro pointing; vintage-style tuning machines for precise, snag-free tuning; and bone headstock and bridge saddles that contribute to the beautiful harmonics it produces. The Fishman® Sonitone Plus preamp system is designed with live players in mind. Its soundhole-mounted controls blend the sound of the piezo under the bridge and the transducer in the body to reproduce the guitar's natural sound with unparalleled fidelity and reliability when connected to an amplifier or recording device. A vintage-style hardshell case is included.
