Folk guitar
Dreadnought electro-acoustic folk guitar made in the USA. The GIBSON Artist Collection Margo Price J-45 (AMRSMPHCS) is a beautiful iteration of the original 1942 Gibson J-45 "Workhorse Guitar", honoring a most talented artist whose unique style transcends the registers of traditional Country, Americana and Pop Rock. Inspired by the mid-1960s vintage J-45 that Margo Price considers her favorite, her signature model features a significantly thinner body than the standard version, an Adirondack Spruce top, a Rounded neck profile, an L.R. Baggs Element VTC preamp, and a 1950s-style double pickguard adorned with red-tailed hawks. A bird of prey associated with a symbol of strength and perseverance.
Equipped with a LR Baggs VTC pre-amp (volume and tone knobs in the soundhole) for optimal recording on stage or in the studio.
MaintenanceNitrocellulose varnish, as on vintage Gibson instruments, plays a major role in the instrument's "breathing" thanks to its porous nature (vibrations are not muffled by the varnish). To avoid damaging your guitar, we recommend Hercules stands with specially formulated, non-abrasive foams. Gibson cleaning products will ensure effective cleaning and polishing without any risk.
