Gibson Modern L-00 Special - satin natural

First produced between 1932 and 1945, the Gibson L-00 was an extremely popular compact steel-string acoustic guitar. With their compact size and short scale, the models in the "L Small Body" series seduced musicians with user-friendly ergonomics and remarkably well-balanced tones. The GIBSON Modern Collection L-00 Special (MCSBL0SPCAN) continues this tradition in an optimized evolution thanks to modern production techniques. It has the essential features of the original, with all-solid-wood construction (Sitka spruce top, mahogany back and sides, Utile neck, rosewood fingerboard), enhanced by the functionality of an on-board preamplifier (L.R. Baggs Element Bronze). Sipo mahogany (aka "Sipo" or "Utile") is a species from the forests of Africa, genetically closely related to Sapele. It is generally considered by the music industry to be one of the most promising alternatives to genuine Mahogany (especially for guitar necks).
