Folk guitar

The original Gibson LG-2 was introduced in 1942 during Gibson's "Banner" era. It was quickly adopted by guitarists for its pleasantly compact size and generous, full-bodied sound. Initially consisting of an Adirondack spruce top and a mahogany back and side duo, it was revised due to World War II-induced material restrictions. The GIBSON USA Original 50s LG-2 (OCSBLGVS) is a reinterpretation of this historic acoustic guitar. A L.R. Baggs™ VTC preamp with volume and tone controls discreetly housed on the inner edge of the soundhole makes it easy to pick up in the studio or in concert.
