AR (Artist) Standard range, 2014 vintage - Ibanez AR420 solidbody electric guitar (VLS color), mahogany body with flamed maple top (Abalone binding), 3-piece glued maple neck with rosewood fretboard (24.7" scale, 22 frets), passive humbucking pickups (with AlNiCo magnets), 3x modes per pickup (series, parallel, split coils).

Artist models have long enjoyed a high level of popularity, and while the design is broadly inspired by Gibson© Les Paul© Double Cutaway, the AR420 offers, at a very reasonable price, a very attractive palette of tones perfect for styles ranging from classic rock to hard rock, from blues to funk.
