Ibanez Iceman IC420FM VLS - violin sunburst

The IBANEZ Iceman IC420FM VLS solid body electric guitar is a reinterpretation of the legendary Ibanez model so dear to Paul Stanley. While its design is singular, its lutherie is reminiscent of a Gibson© Explorer©, with tones to match, both generous and furious.

Okoume body, glued three-piece Okoume neck with 22-fret Jatoba fingerboard, duo of Ibanez Super 80 humbucking pickups (passive, ceramic magnets), fixed Ibanez Gibraltar Performer bridge.

Used for decades by the maritime and aeronautical industries, Okoume (native to West Africa) is a wood of choice for electric guitars (John Suhr used it for many years). This light / low-density wood can be considered a Mahogany with more pronounced high frequencies and an extended dynamic range, exacerbating the instrument's clarity. The fingerboard is made of Jatoba (or Brazilian Cherry), a wood whose tonal characteristics are close to Pau Ferro. Both warm and punchy.
