The JAM PEDALS Rattler Distortion MK2 is a high-end vintage / tube amp pedal that's extremely dynamic, subtle and sharp. Basically, it distills the prized saturation of the original 1980s ProCo RAT® Distortion, with even greater responsiveness, dynamic subtlety and amplitude.
It owes its performance to a drastic selection of components and ultra-careful hand-crafting. As the LM308 chip is no longer available in this new version, JAM has developed a high-performance, future-proof custom operational amplifier. Additional features have also been added: 1. MID BOOST: The dedicated switch activates a mid boost placed before the distortion circuit. It adds a new dimension to your tones. Internal settings let you adjust the boost level and low-frequency content.
2. CLIPPING OPTIONS: The mini toggle switch lets you choose between two clipping options. A symmetrical mode, an evolution of the previous version, and an asymmetrical mode identical to the original. 3. Click-less switch for silent operation.
