The "Legends Of Fuzz" range is a tribute to the historic fuzz circuits that, from the London scene of the '60s to the resurgence of the Big Muff in the '80s, contributed to the rise of Pop and Rock music. Kay Musical Instruments was founded by Henry "Kay" Kuhrmeyer on July 1, 1931. After concentrating on stringed instruments for the first few decades, the company entered the effects pedal market in the late '60s. Among the first creations was the Kay Fuzz Tone (1968/1969), initially designed as a more accessible version of the Shin-ei/Univox Superfuzz. It was used extensively by The Edge.
The JHS PEDALS Legends Of Fuzz Mary-K is an evolution of this reference effect, enhanced by new controls and the option of expression pedal control.
