Magnatone Slash SL-100 Blackout Edition Head

Slash fell under the spell of a Magnatone Fifty-Nine M-80 amp in 2023 during a studio session. He used it during the GnR world tour that same year. Built in the USA from components sourced entirely on the American continent, the MAGNATONE Slash SL-100 Blackout Edition Signature Head (100 watts, EL34) is a vintage Marshall-inspired 100 watt Push-Pull Class AB tube amp. To be more exact, it's based on the Fifty-Nine M-80. Its circuitry is built around four EL34 power tubes, four 12AX7 preamp tubes.
The SL-100 features a single channel with two modes, Hi-gain and Lo-gain. Hi Gain voicing produces typical eighties Marshall tones in the tradition of Slash's iconic Silver Jubilee. Lo Gain voicing, on the other hand, generates more vintage 60's rock sounds. On this channel, the humbucking pickups of a Les Paul produce an absolutely sublime moderate crunch. Alternation between the two options is achieved via a front-panel selector switch or a footswitch. At the rear you'll find a tube-buffered effects loop, two speaker cabinet outputs with 4, 8 and 16 ohm impedance selectors. The SL-100 is for lovers of high-quality old-school British sound with sublime grain, punch and amplitude.
