Vintage-inspired Dreadnought-style steel-string acoustic guitar, made in Nazareth, Pennsylvania, U.S.A. In 2025, Martin optimizes the performance of its Standard models with the Golden Era range. With reworked bracing, a thinner fingerboard, redesigned neck profile and heel, these acoustics are even more faithful to a vintage Martin tonal spirit, augmented by improved ergonomics and an even more refined aesthetic. The MARTIN Golden Era Standard D-17 is inspired by the legendary 18 models. The Martin 18s have accompanied some of the world's greatest artists. The Golden Era Standard D-17 combines this heritage with some more contemporary features.
Featuring a mahogany top / body / neck trio, an Ebony fingerboard and Sitka Spruce GE bracing, the D-17 produces the powerful, warm, rich and expressive tones we've come to expect from a Martin. For a more contemporary feel, the "GE Modified Low Oval" neck profile offers excellent playing comfort.
