Its torrefied solid spruce top is thermally aged for an open, broken-in sound from day one—just like your favorite guitar had decades to mellow. Native from central America, Granadillo is considered a type of rosewood. Sonically close to Indian rosewood with broad frequency range and clear articulation. Harder and denser, it yields an additional bell-like ring, clear, chimey tone. Classical guitar makers later borrowed it and have been using it for at least 50 years.
