Martin Standard Super D-18 - natural aging toner

The MARTIN & Co Standard Series Super D-18 is a Super D-style dreadnought steel-string acoustic guitar, designed to deliver an unparalleled musical experience thanks to its volume and rich tone.

Overview

The Martin Super D-18 stands out for its body volume, which is approximately 20% greater than that of a standard Dreadnought. This feature, combined with optimized bracing, enhances low frequencies while maintaining a perfect balance between midrange and treble. Delivering up to +12dB of power depending on your playing style, this guitar is ideal for guitarists seeking exceptional projection while retaining Martin’s signature sound.

A neck designed for greater comfort and playability

The Martin Super D-18 features a Golden Era (GE) Modified Low Oval neck with a High-Performance Taper, offering a comfortable grip and making it easy to play. This design allows for a smooth transition from the nut to the body, making this instrument more accessible than a typical vintage model.

Premium luthiery materials for a rich tone

The Martin Standard Super D-18 is crafted from high-quality traditional materials, including:

• Sitka spruce top
• Mahogany body and sides
• Mahogany neck
• Ebony fingerboard

This unique combination produces a full, powerful tone with generous bass, pronounced mids, and clear, rich highs. The ebony fingerboard also helps to focus the sound, adding noticeable definition in a variety of musical contexts.
