The MARTIN & Co Standard Series Super HD-28 is a steel-string acoustic guitar that stands out for its Super D Dreadnought body style, offering an unparalleled playing experience thanks to its features optimized for sound projection.

Overview

The MARTIN & Co Standard Series Super HD-28 embodies the brand’s heritage with meticulous craftsmanship and premium materials. It is designed for musicians seeking a guitar capable of producing a powerful and balanced sound, ideal for a variety of playing styles.

Increased body volume for optimal projection

With a body approximately 20% larger than a classic Dreadnought, the Super D amplifies low frequencies while maintaining harmonious mids and highs. Depending on your playing style, this guitar can deliver up to +12 dB of power, making it ideal for live performances.

Premium materials for exceptional sound

The Martin Standard Super HD-28 has an all-solid-wood construction, including:

• Sitka spruce top
• Indian rosewood body with Indian rosewood back and sides
• Mahogany neck
• Ebony fingerboard

An exceptional pickup system for natural tones

Equipped with the Baggs Element VTC system, the Super HD-28 features an under-nut piezo pickup and a built-in Class A active preamp. This system allows for precise control of volume and tone via two knobs. The sound—whether strumming or picking—is clear and dynamic, faithfully reproducing the guitar’s vibrations with a natural and authentic response. In addition, the 9V LR61 battery provides approximately 1,000 hours of battery life, ensuring extended, uninterrupted performance.
