Electric guitar combo amp
The Orange Combo Crush 120-watt all-transistor electric guitar combo amp (shown here in Black - ref CR120CBK) was designed on the principle of "simple is better": rather than offering a multitude of often useless features, Orange focused on sound and component quality, and only that.
In terms of look and functionality, this guitar combo takes its inspiration from the Rockerverb model, also by Orange, from which it borrows the control panel.
The clean channel is warm, rich and crystal-clear, served by a digital reverb with 3 high-quality modes (String, Plate or Hall). Thanks to the Volume Master, it's even possible to dirty up the sound like on the Rockerverb.
As for the saturated channel, it delivers a wide range of distortions, from light, nuanced crunch to heavy, hard-rock saturation and the typical Seventies rock sound for which the brand is famous.
An effects loop lets you insert pedals in the best possible conditions to broaden the amp's sound palette.
The 12" speaker on this combo is an Orange-designed Voice of The World. This is the same speaker cabinet used on the PPC212 Jim Root or the PPC412 Compact. It's lightweight and sounds great.
Like all Orange amplifiers, the Crush Pro Series is constructed from 11-ply birch wood, 18 mm thick.
It's worth noting that this amp has enough power to play in a band with a drummer, while sounding great at very low volume, which is the prerogative of transistor amps!
