Overdrive, distortion & fuzz effect pedal
The ORANGE Getaway Driver saturation pedal is inspired by various vintage amplifiers, such as a 1972 "Pics Only" modified by technical director Ade Emsley. With 3 simple controls for Volume, Bite (tone) and Gain, the Getaway Driver will give a vintage color to your sound, but will work particularly well on a clean channel. The gain structure is based on a Class A circuit as in a tube amp.
Like the Orange Two Stroke and Kongpressor pedals, the Getaway Driver has a buffered output (totally transparent when the pedal is bypassed), and a second output is a headphone output with speaker cabinet simulation, compatible with a mixer via DI BOX. When the pedal is bypassed, this simulation remains active, and can be powered by 9v (grain type EL84) or 12v (grain type EL34).
