Orange OB1-300 electric bass amp head: 300 watts Class A/B transistors, bi-preamp, all-analog circuitry, rack-mountable (2U / 19").

Contrary to what its seemingly basic controls might suggest, the OB1-300 head proves to be highly versatile, capable of delivering everything from the clearest sound to the nastiest, bypassing all intermediaries. It owes this prowess to its dual circuitry, which splits the input signal in two to process the low-frequency register and harmonics individually. The first is amplified so as to retain all its clarity and definition, while the other is subject to a double distortion stage that you can control with the "Gain" knob). These two sections can be mixed via the "Blend" knob (activated/deactivated by optional footswitch).
