Bass amp head

The all new, re-designed Terror Bass has arrived and it sounds better than ever. With an all valve front end, the Terror Bass is a 500W hybrid bass amp with a valve preamp and solid state power amp, making it closer to the sound of our flagship AD200 than ever before.

The front panel remains the same layout to the original Terror Bass but with an added clean switch, giving more headroom and smoother, clean sounds.

From clean pop sounds through to gritty rock tones the Terror Bass can do it all. A pad switch on the front for active basses takes 6dB off the input sensitivity. The effects loop is valve on the send and solid state on the return.

The Terror bass is a Class D amp with 500 watts of power into 4 Ohms and 250 Watts into 8 Ohms, the limiter switch on the back prevents the output stage from being pushed too hard into 4 ohms. The Terror bass is perfect for any situation, whether studio, practice or live gig.

Bonjour à tous,

essai du terror bass 500 sur p.bass et 15 pouces de 500w 8ohms sans tweeter.

- fabrication: dans la bonne moyenne, à l'air assez solide et bien protégé dans la sacoche.
les potards tournent trop facilement, et la poignée peut vibrer quand l'ampli est posé sur le
cab. le poser sur un support isolant et c'est ok.

- le son: typé orange évidemment. à mon sens, utiliser des hp à l'ancienne pour sortir le grain
(les hp néodyme sonnent trop lisse)
les notes ont de l'attaque, bien définies et claires, malgré une couleur bas médiuns
prononcée. à partir de midi sur le gain, la lampe de preamp (jj ecc83) commence à cruncher
de façon très musicale, et va jusqu'à un overdrive assez sérieux pour jouer sans pédale.
ici, l'égalisation ne sert qu'à s'adapter au lieu et à votre baffle (vos oreilles aussi) , mais vous
aurez toujours ce son rock qui tache !

enfin, niveau puissance de concert, avec le gain et l'équa à midi, la plage de volume doit se
situer entre 2 et 4 pour les plus sourds, ou en scène extérieure.
rapport poid/puissance, c'est l'ampli le plus fort que j'ai eu.
(marshall, ampeg, fender, markbass)

- utilisation: 1 tu branches 2 tu règles gain et volume 3 tu ajustes les médiums (bass et aigus à
midi) 4 tu attends que les autres soient prêts

conclusion: s'il fonctionne encore dans 10 ans, je conseillerai l'achat.
