While it retains the fundamentals (alder body, bolt-on maple neck, 34" scale), it excels in terms of price/performance ratio, with a combination of American alder body, bolt-on maple neck and maple fingerboard. While its lutherie is fundamentally vintage, its pickups and Marcus Miller Heritage-3 circuit make it an exemplary modern model of flexibility.
