Stylophone DF-8

The Stylophone DF-8 is a new-generation analog filter unit, combining the finesse of a classic 24 dB/octave 2045 Lowpass filter filter with the wild personality of Stylophone's exclusive GEN R-8 filter. Nicknamed "Beauty and the Beast", it offers an exceptionally rich sound palette.

Combine the CPM DF-8 with the CPM DS-2 to create the ultimate compact, portable analog modular system, ideal for use both in the studio and on stage.

Much more than just a filter box, the DF-8 is a complete sound complete sound design tool. It combines two independent filter channels, each with eight filter types, precise ADSR envelopes and multiple trigger modes. Thanks to its white noise sources, its sample-and-hold module with adjustable slew and its analog delay PT2399, the DF-8 covers a sonic spectrum from the most atmospheric textures to the most experimental distortions.

Designed in Stylophone's typical CPM format, it is both portable, stackable and modular, ideal for both studio and stage.

Two channels of powerful analog filters

The DF-8 combines two independent filter channels for total control over sound material. The 2045 Lowpass filter delivers silky, precise sound at 24 dB/octave, while the GEN R-8 produces raw, dynamic textures at 12 dB/octave.

Eight filter types per channel

Each channel has eight filter modes: Lowpass, Bandpass, Highpass, Notch, Bandpass+, Band Reject+ and Notch+. This variety makes it possible to sculpt rich timbres, from subtle attenuation to the most radical effects.

ADSR envelopes and advanced trigger modes

The DF-8's comprehensive ADSR envelopes offer linear and exponential responses. The module can be triggered by a CV gate signal, an audio threshold, a manual button or operate as an auto-repeat loop to behave like an LFO.

Integrated sound sources and modulation

The DF-8 features two white noise generators with volume control, a synchronizable Sample-and-Hold module with adjustable slew, and a PT2399 analog tape-style delay with modulation. These tools make the DF-8 a sound processor capable of creating complex ambiences, drones and effects without an external source.

Flexible power supply and full connectivity

Can be powered by AA batteries, an external power supply or directly from the Eurorack bus. Features 14 patch points for audio, envelopes, filters, VCA and S&H, enabling total integration into a modular setup.

Outputs and immediate audio playback

The DF-8 features stereo outputs (line and headphone) with separate volumes, as well as a built-in 2 W speaker for instant listening to your creations, without external amplification.

Modular CPM Stylophone design

Its aluminum CPM case is equipped with side ribs that enable several units together. This ingenious system offers the stability of a large modular while retaining the portability of a compact unit.
