Adjustable Power for Rich Tones

The Power Scaling feature lets you achieve the tonal response of a high-power amp set to 10, while maintaining a manageable volume. By adjusting the voltage supplied to the output section, you can reduce the power without sacrificing tone or feel.

Drive control for nuanced tone shaping

The Drive control feeds the input of the power section. When set to 10 for Power, it acts as a master volume. It is recommended to always set the Drive within two Delta digits of the Power setting to maintain a balanced sound.

Optimized gain for exceptional sound performance

The Gain control regulates the amount of preamp gain by acting on two cascaded gain stages simultaneously, allowing for precise and responsive control of the input signal.

Tone controls for a custom sound

The Bass, Medium, and Treble tone controls are passive and located after the gain. It is recommended to start around 5 and adjust to taste. As you increase the Gain or Drive, consider reducing the bass to preserve clarity and definition in the lower end of the spectrum.

A built-in professional effects loop

Every Suhr Badger is equipped with a high-impedance, all-tube effects loop, perfectly suited for both stompboxes and rack-mounted gear.
