The Takamine CP7MO-TT Thermal Top Orchestra is a steel-string acoustic folk guitar with a solid spruce top.

Takamine has adopted Thermal Top (TT) technology for this series. A revolutionary technology that will take you back in time! Behind the name Thermal Top lies an exclusive technique applied to guitar tops to accelerate the ageing of the wood! What does it mean? It involves treating the top wood, which is dried to 0% moisture content, then gradually rehydrated to around 6%. This tightens the wood fibers and stabilizes the wood, exactly as the years do, but in an accelerated version, and entirely under temperature and humidity control. This treatment makes the guitar more stable in the face of variations in climate and temperature, and enables it to reach its optimum level of sound right from the first time you play it!
