Folk guitar
The TAKAMINE Japan John Jorgenson JJ325SRC is a Dreadnought-style electro-acoustic folk guitar of excellent craftsmanship, made in Japan by experienced luthiers.
Made from top-quality woods (solid cedar top, Ovangkol back and sides, rosewood fingerboard), it produces warm, dense tones with great projection.
In amplified mode, you can control output level and EQ with the remarkable Takamine CTF-2N preamp. The CTF-2N is an updated version of the original Takamine preamp, dubbed "Brownie" by aficionados. This system, whose warm, naturally saturated grain could be mistaken for the presence of a tube, has seduced many artists, not least Ry Cooder, David Lindley, the Eagles, James Taylor, Jackson Brown, Bruce Springsteen... The Takamine Palathetic pickup is recognized by the music industry as one of the most respectful of the instrument's original sound. Ovangkol is an African relative of Rosewood. It has most of the same acoustic characteristics, but with a more generous midrange and glossier treble.
