Tanglewood TW45 NS E Sundance - natural satin

The Tanglewood TW45 NS E, part of the mid-range Sundance series, is a Super Folk-style electro-acoustic guitar with solid Cedar top and laminated Mahogany body, equipped with the Fishman Presys + preamp and onboard tuner. The TW45 NS E is a functional, high-quality instrument, equally at home on acoustic or amplified strings, covering a wide range of musical styles. It does its competitors a serious disservice.

The woods- The top of the TW45 NS E Sundance Super Folk is made of solid cedar; originally used by Spanish luthiers in the classical guitar department, cedar has earned its letters of nobility over the last three decades, regularly used to make the soundboards of steel-string acoustic guitars.
Less dense and softer than Spruce, its sound is round and muffled yet balanced, with overtones* evenly distributed across the spectrum (*overtones are over-frequencies added to the fundamental frequency to enrich it). It is also aesthetically very appealing (grain and tone). The back and sides are made of laminated Mahogany; Mahogany is a dense wood producing a full, particularly warm sound, with 'long-lasting' sustain (note duration). The bass is generous, the midrange solid and the treble velvety.Design- The Super Folk format is roughly equivalent in size to the Folk, reminiscent of the smaller guitars offered at the beginning of the 20th century; Martin's "000" springs to mind, but also a classical guitar. Its dimensions are very comfortable, distilling a good balance of frequencies. On the other hand, volume and projection are less than those of a Jumbo or Dreadnought. The Tanglewood TW45 NS E is pre-amplified, so it can be used on stage or in the studio without any problem.
