The TAYLOR 354ce is a twelve-string Grand Auditorium-style electro-acoustic steel-string acoustic folk guitar featuring a solid Sitka Spruce top, solid Sapele body, neo-tropical Mahogany neck and Ebony fingerboard.
The Grand Auditorium shape has been Taylor's flagship since 1994, unquestionably the brand's most popular model. A true Swiss Army knife for the guitarist, this intermediate size between Grand Concert and Dreadnought is both extremely comfortable and acoustically versatile. Sitka spruce is the traditional choice for the vast majority of acoustic guitars. Thanks to a perfect balance between robustness and elasticity, Sitka generates a direct, punchy sound with impeccable articulation. These characteristics give Sitka a great deal of tonal flexibility and adaptability to virtually any playing style: strumming, flatpicking or fingerpicking. Taylor Expression System 2 Preamp: in order to faithfully convey the amplitude and fundamental character of their acoustics, it took Taylor several years to develop the Expression System (ES). Thanks to new sensors and a substantially redesigned circuit, Expression System 2 offers even greater responsiveness and dynamics, and according to Taylor, around 25% more warmth.
