Limited edition commemorating the year Taylor was founded. The TAYLOR 50th Anniversary Builder's Edition 314ce LTD (Kona Burst ) is a magnificent electro-acoustic steel-string acoustic guitar. It features a solid Sitka Spruce top, a solid Urban Ash back and side duo, an Ebony fingerboard and an Expression System ES2 preamp.
Enhanced by aesthetic and ergonomic features that Taylor usually reserves for more elitist models (Silent Satin finish, armrest area and beveled cutaway), the 50th Anniversary Builder's Edition 314ce LTD is an opportunity not to be missed. Urban Ash is an eco-responsibly sourced wood. It has been collected in the cities of Southern California from trees that had to be removed from the public sphere for safety reasons, following storms or disease.
Its tonal characteristics combine the properties of Mahogany and Koa with clarity, homogeneity and responsiveness, and it benefits from the Taylor V-Class bracing, a landmark development in acoustic guitar design. These innovative bracings, developed by master luthier Andy Powers, give the instrument improved projection, tonal balance, optimal intonation and incredible sustain. The Grand Auditorium or 000 size is the consensus. A hybrid between the Grand Concert (00 Classic Classical style) and the indispensable Dreadnought, it is considerably more compact than the latter, which obviously makes for more pleasant ergonomics. Its acoustic amplitude is logically less pronounced, but on the other hand its amplification is easier, with fewer feedback problems.

Taylor Expression System 2 Preamp: in order to faithfully reproduce the amplitude and fundamental character of their acoustics, it took Taylor several years to develop the Expression System (ES). Thanks to new sensors and a substantially reworked circuit, the Expression System 2 offers even greater responsiveness and dynamics, and according to Taylor, around 25% more warmth.
