This electro-acoustic folk bass features a solid Koa top, laminated Koa back and sides, Ebony fingerboard and Taylor Expression System Baby ES-B pre-amp. Its compact size, short scale and light weight will appeal to beginners and those with smaller body types. Koa is a dense tropical species. It is characterized by an emphasis on mid-range frequencies and a highly musical brilliance. If played regularly, Koa instruments improve over time, gaining in warmth and softness.
