The chassis of the Thorens TD 1500 is designed to provide optimum vibration damping and prevent distortion caused by mechanical disturbances. Mounted on three springs and combined with a wooden plinth, it gives the turntable the classic, elegant look of a Thorens design.
An Ortofon 2M Bronze cell for faithful sound reproduction
The Ortofon 2M Bronze phono cell mounted on the removable cell holder of the Thorens TP 150 arm offers excellent tracking of the pickup and guarantees a reduction of the pinching effect. The large contact area of the diamond ensures better readability and less wear on the groove sides, as well as a very detailed reproduction of the sound spectrum. The Thorens TD 1500 is equipped with a pre-mounted Ortofon 2M Bronze moving magnet cartridge.
A quality platter for an exceptional listening experience
The platter of the Thorens TD 1500 is made of an aluminium frame combined with a thick rubber platter mat, ensuring excellent inertia while absorbing vibrations and guaranteeing a very good coupling of the record and the platter. The platter is driven by a thick rubber belt that connects the motor to the sub-platter. The platter is rotated by an electronically controlled motor, which makes it easy to change the playback speed via the speed selector.

Finally, the Thorens TD 1500 turntable is equipped with an unbalanced RCA output and a balanced XLR output, offering optimal signal transmission with compatible electronics. This turntable is designed to be integrated into an audiophile system.
