VOX V863-CA Custom Auto Wah Pedal redefines the wah pedal experience, masterfully blending the classic manual wah functionality with the modern versatility of two Auto/Pedal modes. All this, while staying true to the iconic VOX tonal quality that has defined generations of players.
Unlike conventional auto-wah pedals, which rely on repurposed analog synthesizer VCF circuits, the V863-CA leverages an innovative design to drive the pedal’s inductor directly in response to your input signal—resulting in auto modes with the iconic wah tone that VOX is known for.
This pedal excels as a traditional wah but offers two groundbreaking Auto/Pedal modes for added creativity and convenience.
- Pedal Mode: Full manual control over the wah using the treadle, as in a traditional wah pedal
- Envelope Generator Mode: Detect the attack of your signal to trigger the wah. The effect shape is set by the attack and decay times
- Envelope Follower Mode: The wah changes in response to your playing dynamics, resulting in a smooth effect in sync with your picking hand. The effect speed is set by attack and sensitivity knobs.
