The Warm Audio WA-2FT recaptures the spirit of the great vintage ribbon mics, while being designed for today's studios. Its ultra-compact "pencil" format and vented side grille facilitate precise placement, even when space around instruments is limited.
Beneath this retro look lies a modernized design: custom Japanese ribbon, neodymium magnet for greater precision and level, and CineMag USA transformer for rich, musical reproduction. Another major asset: an on-board 100% analog JFET preamp, which can be activated and provides +26 dB of gain (with phantom power supply) - practical for headache-free use with the majority of audio interfaces and consoles.
The result is a pickup that retains its ribbon grain (roundness, smooth highs, full midrange), while offering simple, reliable operation. Perfect for adding character to guitar cabs, snare drums, brass instruments and many other sources right from the recording stage.
