The idea for WREN AND CUFF The Good One came from the restoration of a very rare 1972 Big Muff "Triangle Knob" owned by a certain George Smith. Triangle Knob is a slang term for the first generation of Muffs produced from around 1969 to 1972/73.
The uneven quality of the components used could produce the best as well as the worst results. The example that Mr Smith entrusted to W&C, once back in service, impressed the whole team with its incredible temperament. It served as the matrix for the development of "The Good One".
