The Yamaha Nathan East Signature 5-string 24-fret bass delivers an exceptional sound. The Active Electronics feature an equalizer circuit based on Nathan East's "Magic Box", which cuts selected midrange frequencies with a switch, thus fine-tuning the sound. Coupled with a Humbucker transducer in Alnico V, which includes an anti-snarl winding, as well as a bridge composed of several parts that reduce interference caused by string vibration, this bass is capable of producing a wide variety of pure, precise sounds.
But it's also its design that will win you over. Its 5-part neck is made of maple and mahogany, and is "sandwiched" in the maple and alder body. It offers excellent playing comfort, thanks in particular to the curved front and back which adapt better to the musician's morphology.
