Arc of light Mirage Fuzz

Designed and manufactured in France, the ARC OF LIGHT Mirage Fuzz Boutique Pedal is built around a circuit equipped with two transistors. It evokes the great vintage Fuzz Face, but with a thicker, more saturated and untamed personality than the Solaris. Where the Solaris is more concerned with balance, dynamics and cleaning up at guitar volume, the Mirage pushes the circuit towards something more radical: a dense, nervous, compressed fuzz, capable of moving from an open vintage grain to a dirtier, more unstable texture.
Its character comes in particular from its collector resistance selector, which modifies the transistor's operating point. This setting changes the circuit's internal response: more open, tauter, more compressed, dirtier, even slightly gated, depending on the position chosen. It's not just a change in sound color: it's a variation in the very behavior of the fuzz.

It excels on thick riffs, abrasive leads, psychedelic textures and sounds that must react strongly to the guitarist's playing. It retains the organic interaction of classic fuzz with guitar volume, while offering a greater reserve of gain and compression than the Solaris. The Arc of Light brand was born of its founder's obsession with sonic authenticity: character, subtlety, responsiveness and musicality. The pedals are imagined as true instruments to magnify your original sound, reveal the full potential of your guitar and amp, and reproduce the slightest nuances of your playing. An extension of the musician and his rig! The technical approach is timeless, with simple, uncluttered, essential circuits. Components are rigorously selected for their character and performance. Prototypes are then tested in real-life situations (in rehearsal, in the studio, on stage) to be put to the test, improved and fine-tuned. IMPORTANT: the manufacturer insists on using only isolated power supplies (Cioks, Strymon, Truetone) to avoid damaging the circuit.
