Featuring two channels with individual controls, the compact BLACKSTAR Dept. 10 Dual Distortion pedal is without doubt one of the best high-gain distortion pedals you can buy. Equipped with an ECC83 triode tube, it operates at 200 V like a Class A tube amp.
Each channel offers two modes and the popular ISF equalization circuit. The flexibility of ISF means you can fine-tune the frequency response, whether you prefer the sound of American amplifiers (precise bass and aggressive midrange) or British amplifiers (more woody, velvety character). The Dept. 10 Dual Drive also features the highly efficient Cab Rig impulse response circuit, which reproduces the sound and responsiveness of a "microphoned" speaker cabinet with impressive realism and zero latency. You can adjust many parameters with the dedicated Architect software for PC/MAC. It provides you with a vast collection of cabinets and microphones that you can position as you wish. A low-latency USB interface lets you connect directly to a sound card. A highly effective way of recording authentic sounds.

Every effect in the Dept. 10 range is equipped with a buffer circuit to preserve your sound, potentially degraded by long cables, a plethora of pedalboards or low-impedance pedals such as a wah.
