Electric guitar combo amp
The BOSS Katana-100/212 MkII (0.5/50/100W 2x12) transistor/modeling/effects/programmable combo for electric guitar belongs to the Katana MkII range introduced in 2019.
The original platform has been enhanced with more tones, more effects and more features.
The five primary amps offer a vast collection of tones, from organic vintage tones to modern high-gain and sounds optimized for electro-acoustic guitars. New variations give you remarkable tonal flexibility.
Independent effects sections Booster, Mod, FX, Delay and Reverb with three variations each offer 15 ready-to-use effects, and once you've adjusted the various controls, you can save the resulting tones at the touch of a button. Eight Tone Setting memories (two banks of four) are available, easily accessible from the front panel.
Equipped with BOSS Tube Logic technology, the Katana MkII reproduces the typical output distortion behavior of tube amps, the sound becoming richer and the response changing as the volume increases. As an added bonus, the Katana MkII's variable Power Control allows you to determine the natural distorted sound of a tube amp, whatever the output volume.
Connectivity has also been enhanced, with a Power Amp input for amp modeling and multi-effects, and updated editing software; a Stereo Expand function simplifying the chaining of two amps using a standard cable; and Line, USB and headphone/recording outputs with microphone-based PA simulation, allowing you to send mix-ready amp sound to a PA system, music creation software or headphones.
The optional Boss GA-FC footswitch gives you optimum control of the amp: choice of Tone Setting, On/Off effects, expression pedal, etc.
