Its solid Adirondack spruce top benefits from the "Thermo Cure" treatment, an accelerated wood-drying process that gives it the acoustic virtues of vintage instruments.
Solid rosewood back and sides, mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard. Sold with Eastman hardshell case. Abundant in the 1930s, when it was used extensively for the soundboards of Martin guitars,"Red Spruce" or "Adirondack" (Picea Rubens) enjoys enormous popularity. More dense than common spruce, Adirondack spruce is exceptionally responsive. It also has the rare quality of retaining a muffled sound when the instrument is intensely attacked.
